In David Harris's "Driving While Black: Racial Profiling on our Nation's Highways," he asserts that many lawsuits and efforts to try to fight racial profiling behind the wheel are often taken but law enforcement still takes precautions when pulling over those of color. It is said that most of the racial profiling is done concerning "drug law enforcement" due to the apparent high rate of drug use among races. This is presented in order to portray the message that racial profiling is indeed a very large, pressing issue in the United States and there are many actions being taken in order to reduce the occurrence of it.
